1. Creating a card

Start by selecting "Create new card" from the main menu,

select a category from the list of themes,

and select a template. You can easily change template and theme later.

Once a template has been selected you can tap on the "Add Photo" and "add text" areas to insert photos from your photo-album and enter long and short text messages.

Photos can be positioned by dragging them on the screen with a single finger, and they can also be scaled and rotated with two fingers.

Filters

To apply a filter to a photo tap the "Filter" button. If more than one filter is applied and Lifecards will attempt to apply each filter succesively.

All filters can be adjusted. Applying many filters can slow down Lifecards. Select a filter and tap "remove" to remove it.

Borders

You can change the border of a photo by tapping "Border" and selecting a border.

3. Text

Once you have added text, you may select font, alignment, size, and color for text.

To edit the text tap on the text again. Once you are done changing text properties simply tap "Done". You can change text properties at any given time by tapping on the text. Tap again to edit the written words.

4. Zoom and Pan

You can freely zoom and pan while you are creating your postcard. Simply tap the "Pan/Zoom" button. Now you can pan by dragging the card with one finger and zoom by pinching with two fingers.

When you are done zooming, tap the zoom and pan button again to leave zoom and pan mode.

Tip: If you hold a third finger on the "Zoom and pan" while you are panning, the button will automatically "release" once you are done.

5. Saving

To save the card simply tap "Save", and a preview screen will appear where you can get a detailed look of the final card. On this screen you can zoom and pan by dragging and pinching as in the main screen. To change the card tap "Back".

When you are satisfied with the card, you may tap "Save" to save the card to your photo-album, "For later editing", which will allow you to reuse or edit the card at a later time, or "More ..." to reveal a set of additional options.

Note: Lifecards enqueues the email in Mail's outbox, so in some cases your email will not be send until you open the Mail app.

You may also want to email the card in higher resolution or in PDF format (currently experimental). To use either of these two options choose "More options" from the save menu.
